During Steve Bradshaw’s two terms as County Commissioner, he has amassed a record of accomplishments that are both significant and indisputable. But elections are not about the past. They are about the future.

DeKalb County’s next CEO will face a myriad of serious and complex issues. Some can be foreseen, like transit and housing issues. Other situations are much harder to predict, be it another pandemic like COVID-19, or public safety incidents that require rapid response.
The CEO of DeKalb must work to build a more business-friendly environment while also balancing public safety and working for a cleaner DeKalb County.
It will take a strong leader to succeed as CEO. County Commissioner Steve Bradshaw has proven himself as a leader. He has served as a Captain in the US Army, was a business development deal maker in the private sector, and later lectured at Georgia State University as an adjunct professor.
After “getting shellacked” in his first run for office, Steve Bradshaw has since been twice elected as a DeKalb County Commissioner, the office he holds today. His accomplishments as commissioner are numerous, but he is still motivated to do more for the county he and his wife have called home for more than three decades.
Commissioner Steve Bradshaw’s time in office means that he knows what works and isn’t working as it should. He can hit the ground running as CEO and provide the leadership DeKalb County needs in 2024 and beyond.
